There is a new promo release for the upcoming TV on the Radio single release due in January 2009. This time it is a 4 trach CD housed in a black card sleeve. It has a catalogue number of CH001CDP. It looks like the printers got the wrong info though as the track listing on the back of the sleeve has been replaced with a white sticker. The last two tracks were reversed by the looks of things...

Well this year instead of releasing a CD sampler 4AD have decided to go all digital on us. The have released a digital promo called Age of Miracles, Age of Sound. This 12-track compilation features everyone from Anni Rossi to TV On The Radio. This is available free from:
TV on the Radio are releasing a new single in the New Year, called Dancing Choose. There is already a single track promo floating about. ...
Another day another promo to report on. This time from Anni Rossi who hails from Minnesota USA. This is the Afton mini album released 20-10-2008 on 4AD. This is actually a collection of previously released songs found on both her myspace page and a few singles. This particular promo is a bit different to those of recent times. It comes in the usual plastic wallet with art work front and back. The front art is the same as the commecial release while the back is black and white only with her name, record title and listing of the songs. The footer is a black strip with text stating it is for promotional use only. What is really diffent is the disc itself. Here we ar treated to a properly printed CD-R showing the 25th anniversary logo encrusted with the yellow lichen. The CD-R just states 'promotional use only- not for sale and has the normal 4AD logo. My copy is some what spoilt by the Anni Rossi sticker splashed onto the CD-R surface. But never mind....There is no catalogue number on this release. This can be found with an additional promo info sheet.
One that slipped under the radar until recently. This is a bit of a strange one as it was released around the time that the label and Beggars generally were under going their compaction. So as far as I know, the song was still released on Too Pure (PURE 228DL) as a digital file only. So again the only physical release of this track is the promo. The promo is released under the 4AD label though! The CD come is the ever present plastic wallet with artwork. The disc is a CD-R which is printed in white. It has Stereolab printed in large letters, the track name and the 4AD logo along with promo only text. It just has a single track.
